A standard product of Clean Colorbond® range with a zinc-aluminium alloy steel base – Zincalume® AZ150 and use polyester formulated paint. Clean Colorbond® XRW steel has all of general advantages of Clean Colorbond® .
Thermatech® solar reflectance technology is incorporated into Clean Colorbond® XRW steel to lower roof surface temperature by adsorbing less heat from sun. In the other words, Thermatech® is able to reflect more the solar heat of a roof material.
Solar reflectance index (SRI) is a numerical value used to represent a constructed surface’s ability to reflect to solar heat. Higher SRI values indicate a roof whose surface temperature is lower.
Green building rating tool such as Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED) require materials with high SRI values for mitigating the UHI effect. Clean Colorbond® steel with Thermatech® is able to provide higher SRI values thus complying to the green building requirements*.
* Selected color in color chart.
Clean Colorbond® steel with Thermatech® technology reduces peak roof temperature by up to 6°C*.
In moderate to hot climate, compared to roofing material of similar colour with lower solar reflectance, Clean Colorbond® steel can reduce annual cooling energy consumption by up to 15%*.
Greater comfort while using less energy helps to reduce cost and is friendlier to the environment.
